We will again look to take a coach (or two) and all travel together to what has now become a Robins’ tradition and always seems to be a glorious day.

If you want to go you need to enter yourself in advance and let me know how many places you would like on the coach. Competitors and one parent free, other places £5 each. No unaccompanied children please!

Thrussington Fun Run series

This mini series of fun runs encompass real cross country running for juniors – with streams, hay bales, hills and mud.

The first run was on 14th March and had to be split into extra races because there were so many entrants.

The first race (up to year 2) saw George Shephard take a great third place followed by Sam Ehlen in 10th (108 runners!)

The second race (years 3-6) again had a strong Robins finish, with Zach Meakin in third and Hannah Cox in sixth (first girl home), Jordan Meakin 29th, (142 runners!)

The third race (years 7 and over) had to do the course twice, and we had Georgia Gartside 8th (first girl home), Matthew Cox 12th, Abby Williamson 41st and Ellise Williamson 44th (68 runners)

There are two more runs in the series, at Brooksby (with a big hill) on Saturday 28th March and Queniborough (where you will get wet) on 4th April. (see Wreake runners website for details)

The first group aim to run outside on the first Saturday of each month so come prepared! The others alternate as before but you may end up outside any week so please bring spare shoes and socks.

The Summer Grand Prix race list

During the summer, we organise a grand prix based on various events. This year there are just six events as listed below.  Each Robin gains points for each event and the best four events count overall. You have to complete four to qualify for the grand prix. There are points overall and for each age group depending on the age at the first event.

You are responsible for entering the events and getting there etc and where applicable reporting your number to whoever is recording the results for the club. It is difficult to record everyone, so your numbers are important, as is your kit. You must wear your blue Robins T-shirt or vest to run and be counted for the grand prix.

The Events are as follows:
